Senn Dunn picks up Raleigh insurance agency

GREENSBORO - Senn Dunn, the state's largest private and independent insurance agency, has merged with Raleigh's Wilson-Ramseur, according to a Monday news release.

Wilson-Ramseur, an independent insurance agency founded in 1981, will assume the Senn Dunn name and be wrapped into the Greensboro-based agency, the release states. Senn Dunn opened its first Triangle office in Raleigh last summer.

Tim Ward, Senn Dunn's executive vice president, did not respond to a call from the News & Record seeking comment Monday afternoon.
