Weekend update: pre-short session edition
From the N+R this weekend:
- Click here for my legislative preview in six notes. It doesn't cover everything, but it should give you an idea of the big issues on the radar.
- Click here for a story on the upcoming debate over the minimum wage. There seems to be a good deal of momentum for the wage this year, but it's not a done deal yet.
- As mentioned before, Rockingham's Nelson Cole has a new job for the short session.
And from other ink-stained wretches and pixil-stained bloggers around the state:
- The N+O's Rob Christensen the future of bi-partisan cooperation in the legislature. Hint: don't look for much cooperation.
- The Asheville paper's Kerra Bolton offers up her own legislative preview.
- Talking About Politics' Carter Wren has done a short encyclical on the Richard Morgan saga as good as any summary I've read. Click here for Part I /// Part II /// Part III /// Part IV /// Part V.
- The W-S Journal writes about the debate over a key ethics measure.
More fun to come this week as the honorables return to Raleigh.
