Fire drill

So right as the House was about to go back into session at 4:30 p.m., fire drill!

Folks were back in the building by 4:45 p.m. or so. I've not heard the cause for the alarm, although feel free to insert your own hot air joke here.

Well, Mark, I can’t really say that your honorables were setting fire to the U.S. Constitution with today’s passage of SB 353 (because Article 2.1.2 allows for it), so, given the timing of the drill, along with the recent enactment of HB 91, I can only assume that everyone on Jones Street was burning their voter registration card.
