Almond replaced
- "Republican Party members from District 67 have chosen Kenny Furr to serve the remainder of Rep. David Almond's term in the N.C. General Assembly, Dee Lamb, the Union GOP's secretary confirmed Tuesday night."
Furr replaces Almond, who resigned under pretty dubious circumstances.

It appears that Furr is keeping the Almond traditon going. Paul Stram the Republican minority leader said he was proud to have " Fuzzy" on the keyboard of State Republican politics.
In fact Chairman Stram has assigned Furr to share a office with Rep Nelson Dollar in order to prove that Republicans still believe in limited state expenses. I believe Rep Dollar is still in a janitoral closet from the Black Chairman days.
I guess with the recent Republican sexual scandels in political offices nationaly and state, this could be another closet republican political story to come out.

Kenny Furr, commissioners chairman for Stanly County, N.C., on why there should be no problem observing the birthdays of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert E. Lee on the same day:
"If you get beyond the racial aspect of it and look at the two as Southern leaders, they both exhibited tremendous leadership and self- sacrifice."

It appears that Mr Furr has never heard of that old saying. " You can't mixed oil and water and expect the lawmmover to work" That's like asking that Custer and Sitting Bull oberved their birthdays at the little big horn again.
