"God was chasing me"???
Sure, every time I've ever looked in my rearview and seen blue lights, my first thought was always:
"Oh, dear Lord...."
Nevertheless, I always remember that, ultimately, it's The Law, not my chosen deity, that hauls people off to jail.
Then, instantly, I hit my brakes, check my speedometer, and know at that very moment whether or not I have committed a moving violation.
Most citizens of NC intuitively understand our legal system enough to differentiate between divine pursuance and zooming past law enforcement at 90mph.
Michael Decker needed to have something calibrated.
