Listen to us yack
Still chewing over the primary? You can listen to editorial writers Doug Clark and Allen Johnson, columnist Jeri Rowe and staff writer Mark Binker chew over Guilford County and national primary results by clicking right here.
The podcast starts with a couple voices from election night: State Sen. Kay Hagan and Sheriff BJ Barnes. We get to talking after those clips and it takes us about 2 minutes to get really warmed up.

why is the Greensboro News and Record editorial sending a message instead of picking the right person. That is not good journalism.

Keith:
First off, you should know that I am NOT part of the editorial board and therefore you'd be better off asking Allen Johnson or Doug Clark your question.
Secondly, just because an editorial board thinks someone SHOULD win doesn't mean they think they're going to win. Think of it in your context: just because you think protest petitions SHOULD be returned to Greensboro doesn't mean it is GOING TO happen. Do you not make the case any way?
As for your comment about "this is not good journalism," I'm not sure where that comes from. Editorial writers are supposed to make a point.

County Commissioner, District 5
Republican voters can replace sometimes-wise, sometimes-wicked Billy Yow with steadier Rick Wallace, a former mayor of Pleasant Garden.
County Commissioner, District 8
Skip Alston too often wastes his considerable political talents pursuing racial conflicts. Veterans advocate Greg Woodard is untested but worth a try in this Democratic contest.
This is what was printed in the paper where is there any indication on making a statement in these 2 races. When the editorial says Greg Woodard is worth a try it also needs to say that we are making a statement.Don't endorse a candidate just to make a statement. Endorse a candidate because you think they can get the job done not to MAKE A STATEMENT.
To your other point about Protest Petitions no MARK it WILL BE RETURNED TO GREENSBORO and I am not just making a statement.

Mark all i am doing is commenting on it saying listen to us yak. Where else would I have heard that the editorial was sending a message not endorsing a candidate.

Keith: you are either intentionally misinterpreting what Allen and Doug were trying to say or completely misunderstanding them. At any rate, I suspect you know the way to their blogs.
As for your protest petitions: nothing is ever guaranteed.

Keith:
I'm not disputing whether it's on there, I'm disputing your interpretation.
