Plastic bags and the death penalty
Two (unrelated) stories from today's paper:
- Greensboro Rep. Pricey Harrison wants to require stores to provide for plastic bag recycling.
- Local clergy were talking about the death penalty Monday night. Sen. Phil Berger was quoted about wanting to end the de facto moratorium on executions in North Carolina.
Berger will be talking about that very topic at a noon news conference today.

Somebody needs to remind Pricey that we are not living in a Nanny State Paradise anymore. Maybe the plastice bags can be used for Auto Sails, when the price of Oil reaches 200 dollars a barrel with mobs of soccer moms who will start bagging small police state Reps.
