Two stories relevant to Jones Street from today's paper:
- *My colleague Emily Stephenson reports the Senate version of the budget has a crafty way to give teachers raises without giving them raises.
- *Hagan and Dole have been scrapping over illegal immigration. This applies to the legislature because anti-illegal immigrant groups will be rallying at the building today. More than likely, they'll be unhappy with the N+O report that bills designed to keep illegal immigrants out of community college have stalled and are likely going nowhere.
