Weekend politics: AG, Ag, and bears
From the weekend papers:
- *The Agriculture Commissioner race: Republican Browns Summit (that's in Guilford County, y'all) farmer wants to hold his seat against Democrat Ronnie Ansley.
- *Crime and punishment in the Attorney General's race: Incumbent Democrat Roy Cooper hopes to fend off Republican challenger Bob Crumley, whose law firm is based in Greensboro.
- *Polar bears and politics: a piece that held (read: sat around and got stale) about Sarah Palin, Brad Miller and polar bears.
Also of interest to political folks: the News & Record editorial board endorsed Kay Hagan in the U.S. Senate race. (Disclaimer: I have absolutely nothing to do with endorsement decisions.)

Good piece on the polar bear thing, Mark.
It actually has me contemplating taking the N&R again, but I still have a twinge in my lower back from toting a mountain of paper out to the curb every two weeks. ;)
