Some would even say that it is even hate speech, but I thought that was a violation of the Terms of Service on the News-Record blogs and could even get you banned? Since you are a close personal friend of Terry, let us know what other things he has to say about the citizens, parents, and taxpayers in this community. It should be enlightening?

You think it is odd that we complain about trailers, busses, safety, racial issues and school bonds? We are the ONLY area in Guilford County that has been affected by ALL these issues in the past couple years.

Parts of High Point are being targeted because they have no representation on the school board. Susan Mendenhall has been completely worthless!

As for the magnets, the day Grier drove around for 3 hours with the Grier-ended magnet on his car was enough to make me forget about all the mistreatment of NHP...but only for a little while.

Guilford County Schools' enrollment as of Tuesday was 70,046, 324 students below projection. I don't have school by school numbers yet.

Guilford County Schools conducted a student climate survey this past school year which I blogged about in July 12.

I am ashamed that I bought a house in High Point and let the School Board of Guilford County take away my right to decide where my child gets educated.

As Terry says, "if it makes you feel better keep putting those" stupid "magnets on your cars" and writing ridiculas statements on blogs. It shows the rest of us who the idiots and racists are.

I think Terry Grier needs some racial healing!

Many High Point parents who have rebelled against the school board suggested other solutions instead of bussing. "Give the struggling schools the resources ". The board did not listen. Solutions such as mission possible and academies are now being imlemented. NEVER has a diversity/bussing solution been discussed for Dudley or Smith. In fact if it wasn't for Judge Manning they probably would not have done anything. Its this kind of double standard that will continue to divide opinion in this county.

Real Truth. You seem to be in a postion of some influence. Instead of creating more bitter feelings try and put yourself in the postion of North High Point families. Start a process of healing!

Not ONCE did the school board put themselves in this postion.

Weren't approximately 300 students redistricted from SWM and SWH to Welborn and Andrews?

Do you think these students simply didn't show up at their new schools?

I hope the …… that wrote it, read it! Racism may be a sad hanger on from by-gone days, but social Jerry-Mandering is the perverted reciprocal. Forcing people to be what you want them to be is worse than people who ignorantly dislike other people. Hitler forced a nation to hate a people with a different belief. Would “Real Truth” support a Gestapo to force people to hate people with a different belief? Racism is sad, but the forced manipulation of societies norms by a few who have chosen to put themselves on deity like pedestals is just as bad as Hitler’s chosen few.

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions just yet. That 324 number has already come down a bit since Tuesday. We should have a 10-day enrollment story on Saturday.

Once Dr. Z gets hold of those numbers, they may show an increase and Grier may be going to the state for more money.

I know for a fact that the numbers at Welborn will be much less than projected. If Dr. Z's numbers show anything different I will, once again, know that Grier is a lying sack of poop.

FYI most people aren't against bonds or new schools. They are against taking money from schools that were promised and putting the funds into completely new programs (i.e. Smith Academy) that was not on the bond ballot people voted for. The old bait and switch gets all too predictable.
