I'm sure whoever the winning principal will be is very deserving. All pricipals in Guilford County should be winners, just for surviving another Grier-year.

Also, off topic but I was wondering-- Will there be any sort of Gala or Celebration or anything for the out-going school board members? I just feel like celebrating!

Is there anyway to have a new thread with the endorsement for Dist. 2? (Since this is the only contested race).

Thanks.

The News-Record should be saluted for its decision to endorse Garth Hebert for District 2. They cited that Garth has considerable financial skills which are sorely needed on this board. Debbie Maines is a good candidate as weel as they noted, but Garth's financial skillset gives him the edge. We must get someone on the board who can bring some financial accountability. Garth can do that, and we need it, desperately.

Dr Terrence Grier, there is a man with a calculator coming to a board room near you.

Is anybody else curious as to the whereabouts of Grier during President Bush's visit? I've seen news coverage on TV, pictures in the papers and pictures on the GCS website. No Grier!

What's up? Was he pouting because he didn't get invited to the Stamey's lunch? Hiding because of all the negative remarks he has made about Bush and NCLB? Embarrassed because he has publicly stated that a school like Falkener can't succeed? Did a quick look at his background check keep him off the premises? Or was he outside trying to get the Grier-ended magnets off the limos?

Don't misunderstand...I'm glad his mug wasn't smirking for the cameras, just curious.

I'm telling you, Waldo was at a job interview.

Meeting with Dubya is just small potatoes compared to what's on Waldo's agenda. It's all about $$ for Waldo.

Waldo said:

Can they interview for the Secretary of Education position while Bush is away?

That is Grier's aspiration, you know.

Jennifer or Morgan,

Could you please post the endorsement article that ran on Saturday about the District Two seat?

Thank you very much.

So which principal won?

Thanks!
