There were three simultaneously set fires at Eastern High School yesterday. Any news on how the school district will monitor student arsonists and keep the rest of the students safe?

Zhak:
They had better worry about protecting the arsonists if we find out who they are FIRST!!!!

I heard it was two fires, and didn't realize they were set at the same time. It seems that there needs to be some major changes in how that school is run. You would think that after the disaster last year, the kids would tell who was doing these things. You know there must be some idea of who is doing this.

The way the school is being ran is not the issue we are having a great year!!!
We are not going to let one or two people ruin this year for us and if the kids know for sure who did this... they will tell...
These guys are going to be caught.!!!

I hope that is true! After all the horror that those kids went through last year, the cost to the county something needs to be done to stop this craziness. As an outsider all we know is that Eastern has had about 5 times the fires that any other school has had. Until your tragedy, I must admit, I had no idea that fires were set so often as pranks. They aren't pranks; they are dangerous and Eastern is the proof.
The community has come together to assist those student and now they have to step forward and help themselves and get that arsonist out of our schools.

Beg pardon, Deborah, you are correct. I checked with my son and he said that it was two fires.
Wildcat Pride, I hope that the student body does participate in a meaningful way in finding out who is doing this. My son had every opportunity to attend a different high school but he really wants to be a part of Eastern. Clearly there are some students there who do not feel the same way, who feel that disturbance and destruction are appropriate outlets for whatever they are going through whether it be angst or anger, boredom or basic dissatisfaction.
At least one person knows who set the fire last year and more than one knows who set the fires on Monday. It is going to take more than the offered $1000 reward and fingerpointing to unravel the roots of this criminal behavior and enact a workable plan to address it. I look forward to sitting in on the October 30 task force meeting at Eastern Middle School.

WE'VE GOT HIM!!!
A lot of the students said it was a ninth grader because no one that went through our ordeal would want to have to go through it again...
