I apologize for the sparse postings over the past few weeks; my daughter has been hospitalized since Aug. 1 so I have been in and out of the office. Hope everyone's first week of school went well.

Morgan,
I pray that your daughter is much better now. I know exactly how you feel as I had a child in the hospital 2 weeks ago. It is a very tense time, I'm sure, but with God's help, I'm sure she will be fine.

Morgan,
my thoughts and prayers flowing your way.

Hey Morgan,
Take care! My thoughts are with you.

Morgan,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. My daughter was in the hospital 11 nights when she was 15. It's a scary and stressful time. All the prayers got us through.
You have lots of prayers out here.
Take care of yourself so you be strong for her.

Dear Morgan,
I am so sorry about your daughter. When our children hurt, we hurt.
I am sending some prayers for you, your daughter, and your family as I write.
If you have any needs that I can help you with such as typing for you so you can hold your daughter, attend a meeting and collect information, sit with your daughter for a couple of hours while you take off and do some things for yourself, send me an email. I know that you do not know me from Adam, but we actually know several of the same people--in case you need a reference.
I have been through some serious illnesses in my family, and I know what some of the challenges can be. You probably can view my email addresses. While I would prefer to be able to blog under a pseudonym, I would not have a problem with you contacting me through any of my email addresses.
Sincerely,
Fiver

Hi Morgan,
So sorry to hear your daughter is ill. As a Mom, I know there is nothing more stressful. This is actually the first time I have checked in on the Chalkboard since I moved to the desert. I was curious about how things were going with the new Super. I still wish the best for the children and parents in Guilford County, and I certainly will be keeping you and your family in my prayers. Take it one day at a time and know that many people are praying for you and the baby.
Blessings to you,
Terrina

Terrrina,
Guilford County has a spring in its step. Everything is looking brighter since Terry Greir left.
Seriously its like a heavy weight has been lifted from our shoulders

Blessings to you and your family! Hope that your child is well on the way to recovery.
Great first week at school. I teach all ninth grade English and we started by studying theme ( we used The Chalkboard as an example!!!).

Terrina, I didn't know you had gone. It will take several people to replace you. You always had balanced and reasonable solutions to problems. You did not tilt at windmills. When you say that you are in the desert, do you mean Phoenix? or where? SAT's up 6 points this year. I hope we have turned the corner.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers! Addison is improving, although I am not sure when she will return home from the hospital. I actually have changed positions to work on a new venture at the paper (more on that later) and Brian Ewing has taken my place. I'm sure The Chalkboard posts will resume once he gets settled. Morgan

Morgan,
Thanks for taking the time to let us all know how your daughter is doing. We will continue to pray for her recovery.
You have been an outstanding Chalkboard reporter and you will be missed. Please stop by from time to time and let us know how you and Addison are doing.

Has anyone meet Mo or heard anything about his visits to schools? He hasn't made it out my way so wondered what the impressions were of people that have meet him, especially teachers and staff.
