Jason Bateman talks "Arrested Development" movie

In a recent interview with The Times of London, Jason Bateman confirms we'll see an Arrested Development movie in 2009.
Nice.
Michael Cera and Bateman (both of whom were in Juno) rocketed to film success after the show was canceled -- which Bateman attributes to the show missing with America at large but being beloved of people in L.A.
"..and those are the ones who hire us," Bateman says.

It also didn't help that the show was horribly mismanaged by creator/producer Mitchell Hurwitz, leaving it perpetually way behind schedule and way over budget.
Actors were asked to do way more takes than is considered standard. There were 70 separate filming locations. Dave Thomas was paid $50,000 to cancel his personal plans and work a single weekend that he had asked off for months in advance. Fox might have kept the show on life support, but it was just too expensive when ratings were taken into consideration.
