New Bond trailer: "Quantum of Solace"
It's hard not to get excited about a new Bond flick even well in advance...but I've been doing pretty well.
That is all out the window now, though.

1) Yes, the title is kinda lame.
2) It does seem like they've rushed the hell out of production, causing several injuries among cast and crew.
3) Paul Haggis wrote this one alone sans his Casino Royale co-writers.
-BUT-
That trailer looks fantastic! Probably the only good thing that came out of watching Wanted last Sunday....

I'm sorry to hear you didn't like Wanted.
I enjoyed the comics and haven't seen the movie yet.

I haven't read the comics, but my co-host has. He says a lot of the movie's ridiculous elements (i.e. curving bullets, the 'loom of fate') were added to the film and were never in the book.

As I understand it most of what's been changed is the superhero/supervillain stuff from the comics -- which wasn't necessary anyway.
Because I haven't yet seen the movie I'm not sure what else might have changed.
But I've heard a couple of people say they thought the curving of bullets and a few other fantastic stunts were "ridiculous."
Is it just me or are some of these people the same guys who gave me a three bong hit rap about how brilliant the effing Matrix was?

Yeah, one thing they add is this magical loom that mysteriously tells the assassins who to kill via a binary code it weaves into the cloth. Absolutely ridiculous.
As for Matrix fan, yeah, many of them are hypocritical. They like the movies, treat them like a religion, and yet many of these same people spend an ungodly chunk of their lives in a voluntary matrix called an M.M.O.R.P.G.

So it turns out Wanted was pretty effing awful.
