Petty Enterprises to move away

Petty Enterprises is going to move from Level Cross, which has been its home forever and which some of us consider the true home of Racin', to Mooresville, which is somewhere near the Queen City of Charlotte. (Can you tell how I feel about it?)

The move is being made to get the operation closer to "the center of the NASCAR world," the King says. Shoot.

Good move? What will it mean to the Triad? What will it mean to our identity? Maybe nothing. Or not.

Ive always been a die hard Petty fan, and still am. Im sad that an era of Petty Enterprises being in Level Cross has passed but if this move will bring Petty Enterprises back to the top of the NASCAR heap, Im all for the move. Go Petty racing!

i wish richard and the petty family well. it is allways sad to see changes made to such a big part of racing history. i live in rockingham all true race fans know its history in fact petty racing ruled at the rock. nascar moved on. forgot its roots now we have hope with 2 races next year what a great chance for the petty family to once again win at the place called the rock. maybe change will lead to once again see this happen.

The Petty family is the last remaining intact racing dynasty left in NASCAR and a darn good group of people.
I would rather see them move to Mooresville than have the organization slowly drift into oblivion.
Best of luck to Kyle, the King and everyone at PE.
