Re-using indoor water outdoors

"Come and arrest me. That's the dumbest thing I ever heard of."

So says one Greensboro resident trying to conserve water and keep her plants alive. Recycling water from baths and washing dishes to water gardens is illegal, believe it or not. Some say that law is too restrictive.

Is it the dumbest thing? Or a needed health precaution?

In the article, Laura Leonard says "But it is considered wastewater, and there is the likelihood that you could get sick."

What is the increased "likelihood?" How sick could I get. It doesn't seem like a great risk. Until I see more concrete facts, my opinion is that we should conserve that water, especially the dishwater.

I have to agree with Allen. The State needs to show the public cold hard facts. Right now we need to conserve our resources to the best possible extent. I started reusing bath water after the article. I still had half a bath tub after watering my plants.
