Taste of water
Water tastes? We know it can taste bad, but taste good? Without adding bourbon or Kool-Aid to it? Well, anyway, what makes High Point's water taste good?

Thanks for making our water taste so good. Now if you can get the Parks and Recreation Department to end the use of hazardous herbicides at High Point City Lake at the Piedmont Environmental Center and Bicentennial Greenway mile marker 2 1/4 by Duke Energy it would be much appreciated. The sprayed was a half mile of pine trees in the right of way. The right of way drains into High Point City Lake. It was reported by the Piedmont Environmental Center the lake was affected by the situation. We have a right to know when we are being exposed to hazardous herbicides in our water, public parks, and greenway. Duke Energy notifies no one for spaying hazardous herbicides. The city can ask Duke Energy for a no spray area and Duke Energy will honor the request. The public and the water do not need to be at risk because of hazardous herbicides. Please ask the Parks and Recreation Department to seek a no spray area.
Respectfully,
Citizens1
