Smoking grades

North Carolina didn't do so hot on the American Lung Association's annual report card. Three Fs and a C? Is that fair? Should we be doing better? Do you even care what the group says?

Cigarette users are nothing more than foul smelling druggies with bad breath who lack common sense, will power, and personal discipline. There is little difference between tobacco farmers and Latin American growers of the plant (coca) from which cocaine is derived - both cater to human weaknesses and make significant contributions to ill health and early deaths. Cigarette sells and marketers are actually nothing more than drug pushers. Every time I see someone using one of those personal portable oxygen tanks with the little plastic tubes running up their nose I approach them ever so quietly and politely and ask them if them have a cigarette I can bum -

I don't understand why we want to kill a program that supplies billions of dollars per year to the governmental coffers. These monies are used to finance numerous non-tobacco related program - including health. Who is going to make-up the financial loss and fund the programs tobacco is paying for that will result when at last we have killed the devil tobacco? There have been no reported cases of someone having been killed because a vehicle driver was smoking. People also die from the preventable causes of intoxication and obesity. The only difference is they don't stink!
