I am a 1978 grad of A&T and a member of the Aggie Club. I support Wheeler Brown as AD. I think he has done well in preparing himself for the position. He is competent, capable and he is an Aggie. I know he is committed to moving the football program in a positive direction as well as giving his all to the other sports. I will appeal to the Chancellor to hire Wheeler now. He has paid his dues and he is deserving of a chance.

I am a former co worker of Wheeler Brown and I certainly think that Wheeler is prepared for this opportunity. He not only has the support of the Head Coaches but he allows the staff to work and do their jobs without micro managing their process. Wheels is a RESULTS ORIENTED LEADER.. NOT A BOSS...That will do alot for raising the morale in the department and ultimately making the department and the people who work in the department more productive. Wheel also has a way of relating with the alumni and supporters because he is an alum of the university and understands whats expected from a program with A&T's tradition and most importantly he listens. However, he also understands that winning breeds winning and the support for the other sports will be his priority as well. Hes certainly had his opportunities to deal with issues over the past few years and I think this is an opportunity that he is WELL deserving of. I think it would be a great move in the right direction to get Wheels in there permanentaly and get some stability at the top.

Last Tuesday's (1/22) News & Record reported that entrance requirements at A&T will be getting tougher - by the fall of 2009 A&T entrance requirements will be upped all the way to a high school GPA of 2.0 plus a score of at least 700 on the SAT - so now is the time to get this man in -

I was at A&T from 1977 - 1983 (including graduate school) in what I say were the "good old days" of our athletic programs. I was a student athlete myself (baseball). I remember Wheeler Brown as a student and as a player. Wheeler has established himself as a very capable administrator of athletic programs. He's finally come back home and that's were he should stay. His resume speaks for itself. I've talked with Wheeler about the direction of our athletic programs and think he has the vision to take us back to the "glory days." I unequivocally support the hiring of Wheeler Brown as the next NCA&TSU athletic director.
