I collect wish-bones (sometimes called pulley bones) - I have the wish bone from every chicken, cornish hen, turkey, and goose eaten by my family over the last several years - these remembrances now fill a large covered vegetable dish and, for some reason or other, seem to fascinate my eight year old granddaughter - she recently bought me two KFC chicken leg bones to add to my collection - I explained to her that I limit my collection to wish bones but encouraged her to start her own drumstick collection. I also have many, many, many pounds of pennies - for years folks at work would swap me their accumulated pennies for my nickles, dimes, and quarters - I have so many pennies that, until I recently spread them out, my attic floor was sagging under their weight. I collect all manner of things - I have more antique covered vegetable dishes and soup tureens that I care to periodically dust - and books, books, books, many of them not yet read. Oh, and pocket knives and old tools, and pressed flowers, and church bulletins, on and on and on . . .

My wife collects thimbles. We have about a hundred on display in our home, bought from places as far away as Ecuador, Hawaii and Paris.
Over the years, I've taken to collecting interesting t-shirts and caps from tourist spots I visit. They're sort of difficult to store, but I manage somehow.
