The magnet program is most certainly "worth it". There is more than one way to learn. Some students learn better when thinking outside the box of traditional education. Giving families a choice broadens their educational experience and lets teachers find a comfortable fit for their teaching style. I feel fortunate to live in Guilford County where I have many options for schooling and I would state that as a reason for staying in Greensboro.
