Triangle Lake
Help the school board with tonight's issue: Create a school within a school for some students at Triangle Lake Montessori or send them a distance away to Colfax Elementary.

The horse has left the barn. Once you start down the road of manipulating demographics by special program or forced busing, there is no end to it. It just goes on and on in an endless chain reaction. Problems beget problems beget problems.
The time to stop Kearnism/Grierism is at first insult.
Gifted children or other specialized programs must be centralized, which is why one suspects Early College has suceeded as well as it has.
Busing these kids to Colfax is a travesty. People who can, will move. Property values will be affected, and dis-affects will likely be greeted
by that old platitude of Dot's "Always sorry to inconvienience our citizens" (but T.F.B.).

I recently moved to NC from VA. I experienced the effects of repeated change and how it effects our children. we as grown ups need to take our focus off the numbers and put it back on to our children. Will the change benefit our children? Are our children suffering or lacking education with the way the school is set up now? I dont see where it's bothering them any. My 3 year is getting ready to start at Triangle Lake. Trust me take a look at Rich, Va school system. If its not broke dont fix it. Leave well enough alone.
