I think as long as they brief DBS and Goldie before the meeting, then it would be okay. Also DBS should be given a special office of her choosing in a CORNER of the universe where she can properly observe and be informed of what's going on.

Folks, it's statements exactly like this one that gives Ms. Bellamy Small the reputation she's got - and it's EXACTLY what sets people off.

What is the required amount of time that legal records be held? My understanding is 20 years. If that is the case and the allegation is that they were destroyed in 2004?, What exactly is the probe going to be about?

I have a serious problem with the amount of "wasted" tax money that we are proposing to waste on formal or active Communist Worker Party Nelson's accusations. He should have to first come forward with more than a statement from an unknown source, before such as waste is even proposed.

I think what is happening across the country is the race card is played out (look at Congressman Wright).

I think there is some sense of this nationwide among both black and white. I think there are going to be a few last minute under- the-wire attempts, like maybe this latest. The call has gone out: get while the gettin is still good.

I think any race player of any kind, if that's your gig, do it soon, the days are numbered.

There will continue to be socio-economic divisions- have and have-nots, but it won't be race-based. There aren't alot of people of any race who can handle 3.50 gallon of gas, NAFTA job loses and a money pit middle eastern war.

I don't know why Barber made this motion, but it could be he is trying to put a stop to the rants and raves of these so-called "Rev." once and for all. Once the FBI investigates the cleaning out of these files, what else could they ask for? Hopefully they will see the legal process will have completely exhausted itself with this CWP/Klan-Nazi gang fight. Maybe Barber is saying: Let's go ahead and have another investigation, then let's PUT THIS TO BED ONCE AND FOR ALL.

I think Mike was being sarcastic and knew how the rest would respond. He is certainly not stupid. Hell, all of us know how our IGLN City Council will continually act. It is hard to believe that 3 ministers want to just keep some stink stirred up. Was it not enough that Rev Johnson was involved in the original planning and preparing of the stage to do his thing and march while stirring things up with the “Death to the Klan March”? I understand Rev Johnson is the one that invited the Klan to the March. Then Rev Johnson is involved in the review board that re-looked at how things were handled in after thoughts and after the fact matters. No conflict of interest there, is there? Now again here is Rev Johnson along with his cohorts pushing the city and stirring up a stink because someone through away old boxes of records, that are considered to be trash by law. Johnson and his Clan wanted them kept for symbolic reasons. I have had enough of this crap and the individuals that have their underlying personal/group agendas and goals and I am tired of paying for it. I am tired of the media giving these people this attention and in some cases only reporting half of the information making it look as if someone did something wrong by throwing the trash out. Open an old wound enough times you will probably have to amputate the limb. Are we there yet? Finally I agree that there should be an investigation. It should start with the Rev. Johnson and his actions and involvement over the past 30 years, hell make it 35 years for good measure and do it in the name of symbolism as he relates to all of these groups that were referenced in the trash and the groups he is involved with today.

Ya'll know where this is going, don't you? The records were allegedly put in a dumpster which means they would be in a landfill of some kind. Landfills can grow depthwise between 3-6 feet per year avg. Since this allegedly happened 3-4 years ago the records can be anywhere up to 24 ft. deep, spread over several square miles.

My guess is the Revs. will want them dug up. I imagine one of the Revs will just happen to know an excavator who can do the job.
Mitch will give the contract and throw in maybe an extra thirty large for..., well, never mind what for. But anyway, for the next ten years the N&R will post weekly progress reports of how the excavation is going.

When you think about it the timing of this records thing is not that hard to figure out. If Obama is the next president the whole NAACP thing is toast. How can you advance past being the Pres?

The NAACP has to be soiling shorts. They have to be going hard for Hillary. The words on the street. Anybody who's making their living off race scams-they have to go for Hill and they have they have to act on any residua right now.
