Gang activity going down? Are you kidding?
Just look at one of today's storys; House in Greensboro Riddled with Gunfire. Do you think these were alter boys who did this? This has gang activity written all over it.
Gang activity in Greensboro will not reduce until we get the gang members out of the police dept. And everyone knows who I am talking about.

No the gang problem is not down. People want us to think it is down. We are like any other city it is on the increase and will probably keep up that way. The court system is a revolving door once they are picked up they are out in no time. Then when they murder someone or anything else we have a fit. At some point something has to change.

I think it's funny that the GPD can say gang crime is down, correct me if im wrong, but didn't they just have something in the paper about the city needing extra funds because they did not have enough to fight the gang problem in Greensboro, I used to work downtown and I am one of those people who brought the gang problem up when writing my reports and then they decided to look into the problem. If the police could not notice then that we had a problem then they are that dumb or they are affraid. I have worked with a lot of police and I can say there are alot of them that do their job, but I know for a fact that some of them are worried about dealing with the gangs in the area. I also have hired GPD to assist in some places I have worked at and I have seen them let a lot of people go that they could have sent to jail, illegals as well!!!!! I think the GPD needs to do a major overhaul, everytime you turn around something is going on with them, and by the way, I did not like the fact that I live off Pleasant Ridge Rd and was traveling that rd the night that off duty officer was hammered and driving, maybe he is part of the gang unit and could not handle the preasure and had to get drunk!!! I think all of us need to carry guns to protect ourselves, wait, I do for that very reason. Look at all the robberies that is going on, Hello, this is what gangs do GPD, how is it going down when robberies is going up, we all need to keep an eye on this and keep GPD in check.
