Rich Brenner

After 33 years broadcasting sports news, Rich Brenner is calling it quits. By all accounts, he's a genuinely nice guy, whether you like his broadcasting style or not. Will you miss him on Fox8?

My wife and I will miss seeing Rich's broad grin on tv. Rich has been a treasure; he is truly a tremendous talent, and all round good guy.
You have earned the rest.

I remember Rich from his days in Raleigh-Durham broadcasting before he left for Chicago. He has always been outstanding with his sports broadcasting. He will be missed when he leaves our local station. Best wishes to him.

Rich SUCKS! Sorry sportscaster, but then again that's why he's where he is.

We will miss seeing you on FOX 8! But I hope I will keep seeing you at your favorite mexican resturant. "Poblano's". It has been a great pleasure knowing you.

Sincerely,
David Romero

I will miss Mr. Brenner's quick wit and professionalism. While I am not exactly a sports fan, Mr. Brenners honesty and open frankness made the sports spots interesting. I hope he will enjoy his retirement for a very long time.

Cindy said:

Although I think Rich Brenner is an OK sports announcer, he was very biased in his coverage. He never was receptive to covering women in sports. In fact, I talked with him on four separate occasions concerning world-class sports women in the area and he said he was not interested. WFMY never hesitated to include these stories. I wish him the best.
