I urge everyone to Donate!

"Don't take your organs to heaven... Heaven knows we need them here."

Why shouldn't criminals be forced to donate blood, tissue and organs as part of paying their debt to society.

Absolutely, I'm an organ donor. If I have the opportunity to provide quality life or vision for someone in need after my demise, I'm all for it. I will have no need for my empty shell after my soul enters eternal life. To those who hesitate to donate, organs are not harvested from anyone who has a remote possibility of surviving in the absence of life support. Please donate!!

Of course I am a organ donor!

It is the right thing to do!

If I ever get in the situation where my organs are not needed by me and might be of value to others, I hope they can be harvested and help someone else improve their quality and or length of their life!

Wow, talk about a case of Deja Vu! Are things so slow at the N&R that we can't come up with new material? This same question was practically asked on March 20th.

I am an organ donor, and encourage everyone else to be as well - that is, as long as it doesn't conflict with their religious or personal belief structure.

Sensei, different visitors to the site come at different times. Just because a question was asked last month doesn't mean it won't be asked again later.

As you might note, there was one comment on this question on March 20. There are five on this one.

So if at first you don't succeed, try, try again?

John Robinson said:

Not that so much as understanding that people come to the site on different days with differing amounts of time to leave comments. So, when there is a new story about the same topic, it shouldn't be unusual that we would pose the same kind of question.

Once we begin opening all stories for comment -- a development that is soon to come -- then people will be able to comment whenever, each time a story runs.

No worries, John. I just thought it was a little amusing to see something reposted so quickly, especially since I haven't seen that happen here until now. Don't want to get this thread derailed like that other one, so let's get back to our regularly scheduled programming!

I'm all for organ donation!

I have been listed as an organ donor in the past, but I am planning to change that when I renew my driver license this year. I'm old and dealing with some chronic conditions that will make my organs less than useful.

Instead, I'm planning to donate my body to a nearby medical school as a cadaver... and I'm thinking of getting some tattoos in strategic places to (hopefully) entertain the med students that carve me to bits.
