I've flown on Allegiant several times to and from St. Petersburg, Fl. The airline provides safe, comfortable travel to desired destinations, charges a reasonable fee, and offers a relatively attractive schedule.
Shortcomings? VERY slow turnaround times at PTI. The flight turnarounds are far more efficient at PIE (St. Pete), as flights generally land, deplane, undergo maintenance, board and fly out in half the time, compared to Greensboro.
While some may bemoan the loss of Skybus, the reality is that they never would have survived on $29 flights and six jets making up their entire fleet. The temporary loss of one aircraft would cause complete stoppage of all routes, and weather related issues crippled the airline since there weren't contingency plans for such events.
Allegiant is an excellent carrier, and the flight crews are as professional and friendly as any airline's staff. PTI's Authority should do more to ensure this airline not only stays, but thrives.

I began flying Allegiant when a scheduled airline
flying out of Indianapolis went bankrupt and canceled my flight to Las Vegas several years ago.
I saw Allegiant advertising and contacted them via internet.
I was delighted to re-book my flight since not only did I save money but found that they flew out of South Bend ,Indiana just 30 minutes from my home .The flights were "on time" and the flight crew were
friendly and dedicated to passenger comfort. They were constantly checking on you to see if we needed anything for snacks and beverages.
Since that first flight several years ago I have flown to Las Vegas numerous times and every flight has been a pleasure and there have been NO negative issues with any part of Allegiant Airlines. I will soon be departing again for Las Vegas and look forward to my trip.(*and the L.V. Monorail ! ) S.M.)
