As a local tax payer I'll be ticked pink when the whole High Point furniture market eventually dries up and blows away - no part of my tax dollar should be used for nonsense such as the furniture market. I've visited High Point and I've visited Las Vegas and I'm hard pressed to see why anybody who is given the choice of a week in High Point or a week in Las Vegas would choose High Point.

The furniture market should not be exempt from budget cuts. It should be funded as frugally as is consistent with the return it provides to the state economic condition.

That said, Holden has a short sighted point of view on this matter. The "ripple effect" of the largest economic event in the state is widespread ... and presumably assists in keeping taxes on locals relatively low.

And as far as Las Vegas goes, the High Point Market is a "working" event ... not a "party" event. That is the reason that serious business people choose HP over LV.

Though it is seldom accredited, still the ambience of any office has much to do with the furniture that has been chosen for it. The correct choice of the mobili ufficio goes a long way in affirming the theme and the existence of the office. However, it should be borne that in an effort to make the furniture suit the theme of the office, factors like comfort and easy handling are not over looked.
