Does the proposed budget for Greensboro -- with no increase in the tax rate -- sound right?

I trust this city council about as far as I could throw them.

That is just like our city government. They love to raise fees. Fees are just taxes that you can't use for IRS calculations. As to the police department, lets dump the overpaid ineffective chief, and let Mitch keep running things. We would get no worse leadership than we have now and we could free up Bellamy's $100k+ salary for more officers. Speaking of officers, how long should it take to investigate officer activity. Perhaps if we got all the officers on paid leave back to work, we would not be short staffed.

CAR said:

we already have too many cops doing nothing but make up tickets. We need to be reducing the amount of officers on the force and making the ones that are left more effiecient. The GPD is the most corrupt organization in Greensboro and it rivals the most corrupt departments in the US.
