All we need now is for Chief Bellamy to announce the whole David Wray thing was also paranoid delusion brought to you by the same cast of characters and maybe things can turn about.

Until the next occasion arises to play the destructive racial politics and victimization game, yes.

For most people, the matter was never at unrest. Wild allegations by known race provocateurs, dutifully reported by a docile press with no evidentiary standards in such matters (other than evidence of a press conference), shouldn't trouble the public.

Does this finding affect the N&R's opinion of their credibility?
Might you not act like a kid in a candy store the next time this group calls a press conference?
Might you not provide bold headlines of an unsubstantiated claim by an unnamed source next time?
The N&R acts as the fuel for their fire and forget answering the questions. I already know the answer.

Just waiting for the next convoluted stretch of the imagination that will attempt to keep this non-issue in the limelight.

This issue will never be laid to rest. But I do have one comment on the article. Those reverends better quit asking for the police department to be investigated 'cause the investigation they're wanting may lead to some of their "buddies" losing their jobs!

When will the pulfpit forum attach itself to a legitimate purpose???There is nothing in any document in any box that is going to change anything that happened nearly 30 years ago in this city...This group of ministers should trouble itself more with what is happening in and to Greensboro's poor communities today...What are they doing to assist all of these young men, black, white and other, who have little or no life skills???Are they helping these people prepare for a life of being productive citizens or or they helping them to continue to find excuses to blame the governement for their woes???Where does the pulpit forum stand on personal responsibility???Where do they stand on all of the baby daddy's out there not taking responibility for their children???Where do they stand on drop out rate that is approaching tragic levels???Who do they they blame for this???They love to advocate for personal liberty, but should maybe try to advocate a little for personal responsibility...That would have a far more positive impact on the community they claim to serve than to stir a stink about some boxes of paper sitting in a closet that have no bearing on what is happening in Greensboro today....

How many of the files were about Nelson Johnson ? He should be glad they are gone.

Greensboro did not ask for the shootout and we do not deserve the results of it.
