Tax increase

Does it make sense that two weeks after voters reject an increase of one-quarter of a cent on the sales tax, a county commissioner wants to increase the sales tax by a penny anyway?

What doesn't make sense to me is why those that do not own property in Guilford county can vote to raise the property taxes? The highest support for the bond was among those that do not pay property tax. This is not right.

It makes much more sense for all of the bonds which will benefit the general population to all share in the cost...if the sales tax increase were to occur I would want it in writing that it is to all go toward paying off the bond
until paid

not as dumb as they think we are said:

Nothing and I mean nothing they do or say makes any sense, but as long as the citizens take it they will continue to pile it on. Remember
it takes people in vast numbers to stand up and say we are not going to take this anymore.

Everyone should pay for the bonds that everyone voted on!!! There is alot of "renters" out there that are sending children to the schools that received all that money and are not having to pay for it! Sorry but if you are going to use it you need to pay for it!!!!
