Should NASCAR ban the colors red and blue, representative of the Bloods and the Crips, respectively? How about the number "69," for what it implies and/or represents? Why not the American flag, because I'm sure that one pissed-off Middle Eastern NASCAR fan doesn't enjoy our presence on his turf and doesn't want that oppressive symbol of occupation constantly waved in his face.
Better yet, why not ban NASCAR altogether??? That would make the Greenies happy and will help to cut our dependence on foreign oil ever so slightly! BAM, problem solved.
All this PC crap is getting REALLY old these days. Should Congress enact a law forbidding the display of the Confederate flag, then obviously it should no longer be shown. However, I don't think NASCAR should go around trying to limit their fans' freedom of expression.

The writer ignores the fact that slavery existed for a much longer time under the "stars and stripes" than the "stars and bars".
Perhaps we should close the door on forcing our own agendas on others and move forward with growing together as Americans.
In the words of a song from my youth- "There ain't no good guys, there ain't no bad guys, there's only you and me and we just disagree."
