Fireworks

Should N.C. allow the more powerful fireworks? Would you be more likely or less likely to buy fireworks if the state did allow the bigger boomers?

Heck ya they should allow more powerful fireworks in NC. The stuff they sell at these stands is crap, pretty much worthless unless you have a young child who likes sparklers or something like that. I wouldn't waste a dime at these stands and you'll find much better in SC or along the border where you can get the real deal. NC needs to relax some of its laws you know!

No way! Just what we need is for our idiot citizens to have an even higher probability of blowing off one of their extremities or creating a wildfire.

If you want to see a great display, many cities and organizations offer shows, most of which are even free to the public.

NO!!! More powerful fireworks are what worry all fire officials. The fireworks sold on NC now are strong enough and even more so that they are dangerous to not only adults who do not pay attention but also juveniles who do not care what they do.
Fireworks need to stay in the hands of the professionals to fire off and the civlian population to enjoy from a distance. The fire service and emergency medical services have wanted all fireworks available to the general population banned altogether for their safety and well being. Too many injuries have occurred from the so called "safe fireworks" that our state allows to be sold.
I for one would love to see them go away. Spend you rmoney on something else more entertaining and not something that only makes smoke. If you buy fireworks from SC you are endangering yourself and those around you when you discharge them
For goodness sakes, take the time to be safe so we do not have to come and render medical aid or call the medical examiner for your death!
