Nice for downtown. How about sending a few patrolmen out to the Cardinal area once in awhile? Since we were annexed I have not seen one city police car. Bring back BJ's crew. You could depend on them.

Yes. The new Segways sound nice for downtown Greensboro. Especially if the "private citizen" aka "Developer donates Segways to police" reaps some "rewards" from his/her donations.
One question. The reporter wrote, "The Segway goes pretty much wherever a person on foot can, with the help of accessibility ramps, and operates at speeds from a slow walk up to 12 miles per hour, the pace of a Kenyan marathoner." A Kenyan marathoner? C'mon now. Can most people relate to such a reference? Why not say "the pace of a black mambo snake" or "the pace of bicycling?" Or just leave it as "12 miles per hour" PERIOD.
