Absolutely. Our global economy requires that we be competitive and desirable throughout the world. Truely great world cities have ample cultural attractions that help define a sense of pride among its citizens. Greensboro must capitalize on its cultural and historical assets. The result could be a livable destination in the heart of downtown. Greensboro can either remain stagnant or progress forward. A part of this progression is renewed interest in and redevelopment of downtown. City centers have been the crossroads and meeting place for its people. They have been magnets for retail, culture, business, housing and beauty. Greensboro's downtown area is unique and holds vast potential. We should really begin to aggressively tap into it.
