The only possibly justification of this would be if the little leaguers were generating revenue via co-opting teams names and MLB wants dibs of some kind-show me a little league team that makes money. If anything it creates more interest in MLB product.
This is ridiculous.

I hope in response to this that Little Leagues
around the country refuse to do business with
VF and Majestic Apparrel...It has been a rip-off
for too long anyway and it promotes and supports
Major League Baseball....They should be donating
their jerseys to these leagues instead of trying to make a profit off of this players.....
..even the ones that legally buy their Majestic
Jerseys...should be required to use the location of
the team as part of their name

Yet another reason why I do not watch nor support Major League Baseball in any way, shape or form.
...as if the league isn't wealthy enough. I'll be happy yet again when the World Series is over so I can resume my regularly scheduled broadcasts :)
