The Dream (you asked): Hopefully all the real estate down there that needs to get sold will get sold. The N&R then starts it's real business of kicking incompetent, hack politician butt.

My dream is that the Mexicans and blacks won't dirty up this area anymore than they have.

I would like to see the slumlords who own rental property in this area get their nasty houses fixed up or torn down. Rent to people who work for a living and rid the area of the people who are on government payrolls. (yeah yeah I know, its DISCRIMINATION, but they have public housing for "those people").
There are enough decent people with jobs who would love the chance to live in a fixed up cute little house with a yard. You cannot convince me otherwise.
Personally, I believe until they fix that, they can make this area as beautiful as they want, but there will always be crack ho's and junkies scattered in the dark corners.
I want this area of Greensboro to be sucessful and impressive, but unless you start at the root of the evil, and rid the area of it, I don't see anything happening that will be permanent or that will be nothing more than a very expensive facade. I call it throwing money up a wild bulls @ss.
Where is the housing coalition? Are they involved in this? They should be.

obama yo mama, when was the last time you took a drive down Lee Street? I'd bet you could count the number of white folks on one hand that you'll see walking around (at places other than retail locations) between the I-40 exit and the Coliseum, unless there's a country concert, of course!
