Local blogs on Obama, Edwards and Huckabee
A quick trip around the local blogiverse yields the following take on the latest fun in the presidential campaign:
- * Apriori Concepts: "As with Obama, I believe firmly that most Americans would do well to explore the candidates directly as opposed to taking the noise machine's word for it.Huckabee appears to have an impressive record of public service."
- * And so I go on Huckabee and Obama: "For either one of these men to be elected to the presidency would be a disaster of major proportions in a time when the world has never been smaller, and needed the most firm leadership from the only country able to give it."
- * Guarino: "Edwards' speech reminded me of "The Music Man", a film that elsewhere has been called the Great American Musical. Those who have seen the movie will recall Professor Harold Hill, the con artist who attempts to sell band instruments to the parents of an entire town. As I watched John Edwards last night, I felt as if I might have been witnessing the reincarnation of Professor Harold Hill."
- * Noteworthy: Since St. Barak has re-emerged as the Dems'/Lefties'/"Progressives'" and the media's darling yet again because of his Iowa victory, it's appropriate to see what he's said about certain issues in the past.
Update: Becuase we can't have Spag going around feeling unloved (see the comments):
Spag: "So tonights real winners are John McCain who is going to come on strong and will likely get large cash infusions in the next few weeks, and Rudy Giuliani who remains untarnished by the Iowa vote, will make a respectable showing in New Hampshire and probably run the table on Super Tuesday in a close fight with McCain."

A grevious oversight. My appologies. It has been rectified.
I do have trouble keeping up with all you folks, so if you think you've written something particularly noteworthy (in the generic sense, Bubba) send me an e-mail: mbinker@news-record.com

Obama needs to stop bashing his opponent and start talking about what he wants to do and the reality of the matter is that all of these celebrities should not be getting paid as much as they are. Obama and his celeb buddies should cut their salaries in half and put it back into the economy if you ask me, since most of them dont know what to do with their money or use the money to buy drugs. He needs to get a clue and exactly what has he done in chicago besides pass a law in which if an abortion goes wrong and the baby is still alive you cant do anything to save that baby. Oh and by the way there arent 52 states in the U S MAYBE HE SHOULD GO ON ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A FIFTH GRADER and jeff foxworthy's class might be able to school him!!! no wonder he wants to make peace with his muslim friends, i winder if it has to do with the fact that their are 52 states of islam! Not to mention that if he would have been a prisoner of war like Mccain he probably would have ratted people out and tried to save himself. Im hispanic 26 years old I came to this country to make a living and quite frankly Obama wants to listen to people that have money and he wants to take the middle class out.And tell me why we listen to the garbage that celebrities have to say in the first place like Lindsay Lohan !! of all people the girls life is in turmoil she doesnt know if she is gay or straight her dad an alcholic and her mom we wont go there :) And it is crazy to me that Obama is a liberal so it would be ok for a lot of stuff to fly that shouldn't I wont get into specifics but the fact of the matter is that I was not born in this country but I know the history of it and I know our four fathers would probably turn in their grave if obama was president.
