Longworth picks a fight
Yes! Weekly columnist and local talk show host Jim Longworth has said he won't let Jay Ovittore on his air. Ovittore is the front-runner for the Democratic nomination in the 6th Congressional District.
This is reminiscent somewhat of Longworth's complaints about Brad Miller in 2006, when Miller declined to come on his show. I can't say that the tiff hurt Miller in the polls any.
Triad Today is an independent production, not part of a news operation. (ABC 45 where the show is produced doesn't have a news department.)
This is the second time today that this story has sparked some sort of public tussle.

I think Jim should have Ovittore on and ask him to explain his affection for Karl Marx.

I myself was in the run for the greensboro city council but as you know i total drop out of the greensboro city race to run for the 6th Congress race this year, why did i drop out of the congress race now also? the party pick to back a high school drop out over me, i went to collage then due to i was in rotc for 8 years i went to iraq as a first lt, I had over 100 man under men that
i told what to do in iraq alone, i was shot why pulling a pfc out of the line of fire
so i was sent, I am not sure why the greensboro party would even back jay to start i found it nuts to back a high school drop out over me. i dont want to
blow all the money i got from the city council race on a kid like jay then be 100%
tap out when i ran head to head with coble
due to no backing from the greensboro party so i pick to drop out of the congress run till 2010, the greensboror news said thats
when coble drops out.
i have pick to back and help john carter myself, carter i see as the only true person to pick out of the 2 candidates i have pick to keep my money for the next city race in 2009
