Quacking like a duck: Bob Crumley's latest commercial

I wrote back in February is the about a Bob Crumley commercial that seemed as if it might have some campaign implications.

Crumley is a Republican Greensboro-area lawyer running for Attorney General against Roy Cooper, the Democratic incumbent.

I noticed this weekend that Crumley is running a new ad. The tag line refers people to his law firm's web page. But you tell me: does the ad seem more like a commercial one might use in a campaign?

Yes it sure looks like a political ad. It is certainly not designed to generate any business.

Using corporate money to try to buy a public office should not be permitted. Imagine if Duke Energy paid for similar ads with Pat McCrory in the place of Crumley. Certainly Duke would not do that and people would not stand for it. We should not stand for this attempt to subvert elections and election laws.

Binker's at it again, digging for something that isn't there.

Is there anything untrue about the ads? Has he consistently run ads throughout the day for years now? I logged onto the website and found nothing about the campaign. All business. Binker may think he's out front on this issue, but like his assessment of the Dole/ Hagan race, he is wrong.

Madjab: Would your thoughts still apply if this involved a Democrat instead of a Republican?
