The other Bob Hunter
One Bob Hunter already sits on the N.C. Court of Appeals. Another, from Greensboro, wants the job.
Robert N. "Bob" Hunter, Jr plans to file today. He is a former chairman of the state board of elections and anticipates taking on John Arrowood, who was appointed to the Court of Appeals by Governor Easley in August, 2007.
Most readers, however, will know him for his involvement in several recent high-profile cases:
- * He is the lead attorney in the redistricting case that the NAACP has taken umbrage with.
- * He was Republican Trudy Wade's lawyer in her months long battle to hold her county commissioner seat against John Parks.
The other Bob Hunter, the one already on the court, is Robert C. Hunter and is not up for election this year...thank goodness, or I'd never keep them straight.
