Get out and get informed
Today’s lead letter to the editor comes from a city resident confessing to ignorance about the municipal elections. That’s frustrating, because this campaign season has afforded many opportunities for voters to meet and hear the candidates.
A good one occurs at 6:45 this evening at the Central Library. The Greensboro Neighborhood Congress is holding a forum for the six candidates competing for three at-large seats.
Thanks to all the civic-minded organizations that have put on forums, no one should be ill-informed about this year’s candidates or issues.

The truth is, even if you attend those forums you still come away uninformed as to the real issues. I know that to be true because I attend as many as I possibly can. The fact is: Most political candidates simply won't tell you their positions on most issues preferring to stick to talking points and dancing around the issues.
But for those of you who are looking for a candidate who IS talking about the issues it's a simple as clicking on the following link:

I went to that blog you're referring to, and found
nothing different. But, maybe, a lot of hot air,
with the TDBS idiosyncracy of "I".
Why don't you just do the goose step, add a little
nooses, and tattoo all of us.
Gee, a write in candidate...are you sure you can
write?

Well the Guilford County Board of Elections have found a new way to discourage voting. The Moorehead Church location on Horse Pen Creek Road has been changed this morning to Burr Mill Park. No notification and the county website this AM still showed Moorehead Church as a location.
During the time I was there at least a dozen people came looking to vote. Several saying they had planned their time accordingly to vote on the way to work and do not have time to drive another 2 miles in the opposite direction to vote this morning.
Congratulations to the Board of Elections in finding a new way to affect voting turnout.
