Heard any good local faith speakers lately?
The Rev. William Willimon, former dean of the divinity school at Duke University, was recently named a bishop in the United Methodist Church. In 1996, he was named one of the 12 most revered preachers in the world, along with the Rev. Billy Graham -- making Newsweek Magazine's "A Preachers' Hall of Fame."
Who do we have who's any good in our local houses of worship?

Yes, go to Love & Faith Christian Fellowship located in Greensboro, NC. My pastor - Michael Thomas is the BOMB! Even my three teenagers rant and rave about him and they love to go to church to hear him preach! That in itself says a whole lot!!

I'll second Max's recommendation of Jack Kirk, and add Deborah Suess to that list.

Kathy Coe is a former News & Record editor and writer.
My minister, Jan Brittain, at Christ United Methodist is excellent. So is Susan Norman Vickers, the associate pastor.

Yes,
Ken Kroohs at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in High Point.
Scriptually well prepared and socially experienced, his deliveries are biblically now, yet enjoyably compelling.
It is unusual in today's Christian Churches to hear well read bible scolars.
Ken is the exception.

Pastor Don Miller at Westover Church in Greensboro is able to make the Bible easy to apply to daily life while also explaining the meaning of words and passages in a very clear way.

The greatest preacher in the world is the Inner Light inside of us all. Check out a www.quakerfinder.org and visit a local Friends Meeting.
The best sermon in the world is heard when we quiten our lives and listen to the voice of God. No entertainment, glitz, showmanship or seminary necessary.
