Nancy-- Many media organizations reject advertising they deem inappropriate according to some type of standard. That is within their rights. We don't watch much TV in my home, and this is partially because of the inappropriate content found on commercials-- even if the actual programming is OK. I think the United Church of Christ may have tipped its hand by highlighting Focus on the Family in a negative manner.

True... but some people are upset because they say the stations need to come out and say they aren't running the ads of the gay-friendly theme. I think the early reason for ABC was that it did not accept religious advertising, but the network did allow Focus on the Family to buy advertising. And that just fuels the fight.
