She's pregnant so she has to "hide" at home on graduation day while the guy who helped get her that way walks across the stage? This story just ruined my day.

The high school's error was to sanction only the pregnant female. It should have excluded both the pregnant female and the male who impregnated her from the ceremony.
I am a bit concerned, however, about the tone of folks who presume to castigate a Catholic institution for taking an appropriate stand against out-of-wedlock pregnancies and births. The girl's reaction, and that of her mother-- one of entitlement-- will only solidify their self-perception, and the perception of others, that nothing is wrong. There is a fair chance that this unfortunate pattern will become self-perpetuating, and will replicate itself in this family in future generations.
There is a term for Christians who reject Catholic approaches. They are called Protestants.
Those that send their kids to Catholic school should respect Catholic teaching, and should expect their kids to do so.
