It's strange how we expect higher standards of behavior from our leaders and their families. They end up on pedestals that they never deserved and often never really wanted in the first place. I prefer a more egalitarian view, myself.

I'm with Eric on this one. Just because the kid comes from the home where the father is a minister makes no difference. That kid grows up just like the rest of us, except maybe with more Christian leanings/teachings. Yet, he is a kid. That does not excuse this incident in the least. He should be held accountable.

I just wonder though. Will his background get him a lighter sentence if convicted?
