This reminds me of the court case going on in Italy right now where the Catholic Church is being ordered to prove that Jesus existed. They won't be able to, not with a proper legal standard of evidence.
In any case, the Piedmont Freethought Association will be getting a copy of this movie when it comes out on DVD. I expect it will have interest for a fair number of folks in the area.

Did you know the number of the beast, 66, is actually a MISREADING and mistranslation: the number referred to in the Bible is really 616. I learned this from Barnes tatum, a member of the Jesus Seminar, who teaches here in Greensboro.
By the way, he does think Jesus existed, just that he never said most of the things attributed to him (the Jesus seminar votes collectively on paleontological and other evidence to support or debunk the various words acsribed to Jesus; Tatum himself is perhaps the nation's---or the world's---authority on "jesus in movies").
