They're not dead "because of cartoons." They're dead because of violence. And it will not end until those who are controlling the violence TELL the troublemakers to cease and desist.

I agree. This violence is being stirred up by folks who feel it's right to fight words with fire. Meaning the Taliban and their idealistic brethren. These are the same folks who used tanks to destroy statues that had survived for thousands of years, all because they wanted absolute control over the people.

This idiocy will keep up until these people are countered by reasonable Islamic authorities who realize that condemnation alone is a far better means of getting their point across.

On a side note, I have to reiterate as I often do, that it's pathetic that so many people are so willing and even enthusiastic in their role as followers of firebrand religious nuts, rather than even trying to think on their own. I mean, will it ever occur to these people that they are making themselves appear borderline inhuman, being willing to burn, stone and kill over some stupid drawings?
