Let them enjoy their meat

Catholic Bishops around the country are giving Catholics permission to enjoy a little St Patty’s Day corned beef today despite it being a Friday during Lent.

I shared this story with a good Irish Catholic friend of mine. He's totally envious of Providence Catholics... Imagine being ALLOWED to eat corned beef, in exchange for an extra "act of pennance or prayer."
